One of Belzon’s unique specialties is conducting Business Case Analyses (BCAs). BCA’s can be based on Performance Based Logistics (PBL) or other business and/or logistics issues. These analyses can be very labor intensive and time consuming, taking away valuable time and energy from clients who must remain focused on other projects. Our financial analysts, logisticians, transportation specialists, and economists provide expert subjective assessments and quantitative analyses, thus arming government managers with information they can use to make quick, efficient, and well-informed business decisions.

Each BCA includes the following:

• Problem Definition and Scope of Effort
• Purpose of the Analysis
• Methodology and Assumptions
• Alternatives
• Benchmarking of Comparable Commercial, Governmental, and/or Department of Defense activities
• Cost Comparison of Alternatives (including a sensitivity analysis, if appropriate)
• Risk Assessment (including the consequences of reversing a PBL decision)
• A summary of the technical data rights necessary to keep the government's long-term options open
• Recommendation(s)
